Keep Good Going - The Happiest DaughterThis is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of New York Life for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
When Phoenix was born, I was able to take him to work with me for the first 9 months. After that, it was up to me to find day care for him. Sure, he could have went into daycare, but we wanted to try something different. So, instead of daycare, my husband's mom drove 1 hour four days a week to watch him, and my mom drove 1 hour one day a week to watch him.
I look back on this time with happiness, because I believe more than anything that family is the most important thing in the world. Having grandparents that care enough to drive that far to help you out and spend time with their grandson is a beautiful thing. It was dring this time that they both really got to know my son, know who he was as an person, and I'll be forever grateful they took the time and effort to do this.
This is our life to live, and it's the only one we've got. Every day is a new chance for you to be happy. Do your best to make that happen every day. Don't simply tell people you love them... show them. Show them you care about what's important to them. You care about their thoughts and opinions. You simply enjoy their company.
- Pick up the phone and talk to your mom about things that matter to you.
- Take Grandma up on that offer for a Mother's Day pizza party.
- Be there to listen... really listen when your sister has had a bad day and needs someone to talk to.
- Talk with your dreams and goals with your partner.
